OFS Brands moves to EPA Certified SmartWay trailers

Huntingburg, Indiana – February 2008, In a move to continually employ environmental improvements, OFS Brands is now utilizing EPA Certified SmartWay trailers for product transport. Dubbed the first trailers to be “Environmental Protection Agency “EPA Certified,” these innovative trailers reduce harmful air emissions and increase fuel efficiency.

With visible, unique features, the SmartWay trailers offer aerodynamic enhancements, low rolling resistance tires and overall weight reduction. These design features reduce fuel costs, conserve energy and reduce emissions, improving the bottom line and the environment. The trailers are lightweight, built to outwork and outlast, offering smooth damage-free delivery.

OFS Brands’ transportation division, Styline Logistics, has been an EPA SmartWay Transport Partner since 2004. OFS Brands was the first company in Indiana to join the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s SmartWay Transport Partnership. Additionally, they are the only contract furniture manufacturer to be a participant and one of only twelve companies in North America as a shipper and a carrier. The SmartWay Transport Partnership is a voluntary collaboration between EPA and the freight industry designed to increase energy efficiency while significantly reducing greenhouse gases and air pollution. In 2007, OFS Brands was selected by Mitch Daniels and the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) as a charter member of Indiana’s Environmental Stewardship Program. Now with the adoption of these “green” trailers OFS Brands further reduces a negative footprint on the environment.
